Our Story

Barkinabout started in the middle of real life — busy days, growing kids, and dogs that were always ready for a walk no matter what the day looked like.

We’re Morgan and Gavin, a Wynnum-based family building this little brand alongside our four kids (soon to be 5) and three dogs: Stella, Henry and Barney. 
They’re the reason Barkinabout exists and the inspiration behind everything we create.

We wanted pieces that felt like part of everyday life with our dogs — comfortable, practical and still special enough for the moments that end up meaning the most.
The quick walks, the weekend adventures, the simple routines that quietly become memories.

What began as something just for our own pups has grown into a community of fellow dog lovers who care about quality, connection and supporting small.

Today, Barkinabout is a family-run brand creating thoughtfully designed harnesses and accessories, showing up at local events, and proudly supporting local dog charities and rescues along the way.

At its heart, Barkinabout is about the little moments.
The walks you take every day.
The dogs who are always by your side.
And holding onto what really matters.
